The Middletown Journal broke the news of this weeks city council meeting. Carlisle council members and the law director Thursday night were divided over legal definitions as they attempted to fill a vacant council seat.

A heated dispute over the definition of “majority” broke out as council members discussed the appointment of Scott Richardson to fill the seat vacated by former councilman Chad Johnson.
