CARLISLE — Size may not matter to one Warren County municipality as it’s slated to be downgraded to village status after being a city for the past 10 years.
As a result of the 2010 census, Carlisle was one of nine Ohio cities that will change to a village status. Under Ohio law, a municipality needs to have a minimum of 5,000 residents to become a city. Following the 2000 census, Carlisle, which is in Warren and Montgomery counties, had a population of 5,121 residents.
