Over the weekend, we received news from a fellow Facebook member that 1978 Class President Jeffrey Ulrich and his family died tragically in a plane crash in Arizona. Ulrich who grew up in the Middletown and Carlisle area had lived with his family in Tampa, Florida. They were on a vacation trip to the Grand Canyon when Ulrich's single-engine plane crashed into an empty high school on June 11. Ulrich, 50, his wife Ronni, 49, and their daughters, Alexa Rae, 15 and Carlie Kenna, 5 all were killed in the accident.
Ulrich's family in Ohio plan on holding a memorial in the Ulrich's honor at the Monroe United Methodist Church at 206 East Ave Monroe at 10am on June 26.
