Two teachers in Alden Brown Elementary school has been awarded grants to improve the learning environment in their classrooms.  Becky Sherwood and Misty Taliaferro received a $300 grant from local group Citizens for Youth to purchase seven different “learning centers.”  Read entire article from Middletown Journal here.

Also, in the news Carlisle Intermediate is in the running for anywhere between $50 -$500K.   The $132 million award is part of the $3.5 billion made available to states this spring from the 2009 federal budget and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.  See entire story here.
