Annual CHS Alumni Banquet on Facebook:

The Banquet (painting and poem)
Received from ANNUAL ALUMNI BANQUET--The number of Carlisle High School graduates is growing year by year, with the number of living graduates is now estimated at more than 5,000. Although only a fraction of Carlisle School alumni attend our annual Alumni Banquet, the number has been growing year by year, reflecting increased enthusiasm and support of the school.

The banquet is traditionally held on the second Saturday of June. Each year the banquet is hosted by the 50 year class. The 2009 Alumni dinner is being held this year on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at the Carlisle High School Commons, 250 Jamaica Road, Carlisle. The doors will open at 4:00 p.m. and the dinner will begin at 6:00 p.m. You are asked to bring a covered dish and your own table service. Chicken and beverage will be provided by the Alumni Association.

The dinner is being hosted this year by the graduating class of 1959. Mike Leford and Judy Oliver McIntosh are serving as co-chair persons. Nina McElwain Eck, Chuck Thompson and Louetta Shearer Gilbert are assisting them.

A basket will be passed for a free-will offering to cover the dinner expenses and to continue to be able to fund the Alumni Association High School Attendance Award.

How do you let alumni know about this banquet? I graduated in '92 and this if the first I've heard of it!

You can reach Joyce Stewart for more information at jgs0410@cinci.rr.com. Carlisle Daily was informed through other means from the Alumni group on Facebook and we decided to post it so that more people can know about it. Thanks for the comment!!
